3D printing is used to make three-dimensional objects under computer control and quickly fabricate a scale model of a physical part in layers using three-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD) data. 3D printing technology is breaking down barriers in design and manufacturing, and making what was previously impossible, possible for anyone with just a basic understanding of the technology. 3D Printing is an effective tool that could speed up and improve new product development and drastically compress the time-to-market.
